Deck Staining

Deck Staining
Deck staining can alter the color of your deck to enhance its appearance. Deck staining is a rather simple process that can be achieved in as little as one day. With the right coloring techniques and tools, we’re able to help you create a custom-colored deck that is beautifully-matched to complement your home exterior and landscaping.

 Deck Staining

Deck staining is done by adding a color or stain to the top layer of your wooden deck. The stain is then left to dry before either adding another coat to achieve a darker finish or is giving a sealing top coat to protect it from outdoor elements. Deck staining can easily add value to your home as the staining helps to keep the deck looking refreshed and new. What’s more, deck staining that is of darker shades, usually allows for less visibility of dirt and debris buildup on the deck. Deck staining sessions are usually required every 3 – 4 years, depending on the level of sunlight and moisture exposure it has. These instances can sometimes leave the deck looking old or worn.

Gazebo Staining

If you have a small gazebo or a recreational one made of wood, this can also be stained as well. While less common, the exteriors of gazebos can also deteriorate just as well as other wood surfaces. Therefore, we add staining agents to the gazebo’s exterior in order to give it a revitalized appearance that coincides with the wood elsewhere.

Deck Painting

If you’re unsure about deck staining, deck painting may be an option for you. Of the two options, it’s considered the more protective agent as paint can easily combat moisture and provides sun protection. Both of these elements can wear on the deck stain after many years if not maintained, leaving it discolored or in need of a new stain. Deck painting is a simply alternative. Deck painting is a more invasive task as it requires our contractors to ensure that every crevice and line of the wood is painted evenly. Once completed, however, deck painting can provide a surprising amount of aesthetic appeal and protection to your wood. Touch ups will be minimal unless it has chipped severely, so you don’t have to worry about too much regular upkeep.
